Embodied Decision-Making
Sometimes embodied decision-making
emerges through drawing. Pass a simple line drawing around and see how many different variations of one simple idea emerge.
Now translate that concept into an improvisation score: One mover (A) creates a simple movement statement that can be repeated. A second mover (B) partners mover A, exploring one thematic interaction. A third mover (C) observes then enters and partners with A, making very different choices from B.
Repeat this process with several other movers, D, E, F and notice how many completely different duets might emerge.
