The May Center for Learning
Santa Fe NM
May Center for Learning empowers intelligent students with learning differences to be successful, confident learners. The School serves exceptional students from pre-school through 8th grade, specializing in those with learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, and language processing disorder.

In 2018, The Equus Projects was invited by May Center Executive Director Amy Miller to introduce her faculty to some of the experiential learning strategies devised by The Equus Projects in its Physical Listening practice.
Two years of research ensued...
Beginning in 2020, The Equus Projects will work in close collaboration with Miller and her faculty to design a Physical Listening curriculum that offers each teacher embodied learning strategies for the classroom and school-wide practices.

The Equus Projects' work at The May Center is a collaboration with Santa Fe choreographer and dance educator Melissa Bransford Briggs.

Equus Projects work with The May Center includes an Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) component taught by EAL specialist Machel Jordan. The horses provide dynamic perspective into human behavior as the animals always truthfully reflect our inner intentions.
